Inuyasha Family Tree Next Gen

Starting at the top, moving left to right

Hikaru & Inutaisho, once a upon a time intimate lovers had a single son; Sesshoumaru. Inutaisho soon found himself growing bored with Hikaru though, and went in search of that spark he used to get around his former mate, drawing Hikaru's undying hatred to the surface. Unaware of Hikaru's raising techniques to make their son a cold-blooded monster, Inutaisho soon ran into the young Izayoi, the princess of her land. He found himself instantly drawn to this mortal in much the same way he was drawn to Hikaru once a upon a time. It didn't take long for Izayoi to bring forth Inutaisho's second son; Inuyasha. Countless years later, the young teen Inuyasha stumbles into his first love, only to lose her to hatred and distrust. Inuyasha managed to convince himself that was what he deserved as a half-breed, until the young Kagome entered his life and showed him what true, undying love was. Unfortunately for Inuyasha, the wolf demon, Kouga also has his eyes set on Kagome, even though he's supposedly already promised to marry another wolf demoness; Ayame. Ayame hates Kagome for this, claiming it was Kagome who forced Kouga to fall in love with her.
After the Show ends or is closing in on the end
Only a few short years later a common enemy is finally defeated and Kouga finally accepts the fact that Kagome cannot return his feelings for her, as she has already given her feelings to Inuyasha, but he still cannot simply let go of his feelings, so instead takes on an elder-brother role toward Kagome, and marries Ayame. Shortly thereafter, Inuyasha finally lowers himself to tell Kagome that he loves her, and their relationship quickly escalates, and Kagome becomes a mother-figure to the young orphaned fox demon Shippo, adopting him as her own son. As a father-figure, Inuyasha takes it upon himself to train the fox to become stronger in order to protect his loved ones. Only a short while after Inuyasha begins training with Shippo is it reveled that Kagome is pregnant with Inuyasha's child. Kagome later gives birth to a set of adorable twins; Tarou and Kiyoko. Around the same time, a message comes to the village that Sesshoumaru, Inuyasha's cold-blooded older half-brother, has made a mate out of a young inu-demoness he'd once saved without realizing. The message came with an invitation. The demoness, Hotaru, was apparently pregnant. Inuyasha refused to go, but being the kind-hearted person she was, Kagome answered the call and instantly bonded with Hotaru like sisters. While the girls cooed over Kagome's twins, Sesshoumaru managed to sneak away and dragged Inuyasha back with him, with the claim that his younger brother was idiotic for leaving his mate so vulnerable with two tiny pups, being protected only by a weak fox-demon kit. Sesshoumaru somehow managed to get the hint across to Hotaru that he didn't want Inuyasha and Kagome to leave, and so he left it to his mate to convince them to stay. Kagome agreed almost before Hotaru finished getting the words out, Inuyasha objected just as quick. Sometime between the time Hotaru became pregnant with Sesshoumaru's child, and Sesshoumaru acknowledging her as his mate, Hotaru had taken it upon herself to raise the human child Sesshoumaru had adopted, and quickly assumed the mother-role for the young Rin. Hotaru later gave birth to a single son, Taiki, who was almost instantly named Sesshoumaru's heir to the Western Lands. Only a short while later, well after Taiki's birth Kagome, Hotaru and the five children (Shippo, Rin, Taiki, Tarou, and Kiyoko) went for a walk only to run into an old friend; Kouga. He and Ayame had apparently also had a set of twins only a short while before Kagome had given birth herself, so Kouga had been unable to visit. Surprisingly enough, he was happy for Kagome that she and Inuyasha had managed to have a child of their own, even if he was a little uneasy about the fact that she had twins. It was only a time span of a couple of days before Kagome and Hotaru bonded with Ayame and the three mothers became near inseparable. They all cooed excitedly when Kouga and Ayame's daughter, Akemi instantly grew attached to Inuyasha and Kagome's son, Tarou. Meanwhile, Inuyasha and Kouga watched with unease, unhappy with the closeness of the two. Kouga's son, Akira however seemed to show no desire to be around the half-breed pups and preferred clinging to his father. As Tarou and Kiyoko grew, it became clear to everyone that Kagome was pregnant again, even though she told no one until it was absolutely necessary. She soon went into labor and gave birth to an unusually fragile little girl. Inuyasha, Sesshoumaru, and even Kouga instantly created a type of "brotherhood" as they all felt they needed to protect the tiny child. Inuyasha simply wanted to name her "Miu" but Kagome insisted that she take on the prefix "Inu" as well, as a type of heirloom. So, together, they named their fragile daughter, InuMiu.
